Fantuan with Kewpie Egg

A delicious Chinese on-the-go meal. I decided to combine Fantuan with Japanese Egg Salad as a filling. Though it's not totally unfamiliar as Fantuan would often be served with fried egg, the Japanese Egg Salad allows the rich Kewpie mayo to be part of the dish. Paired with fried Chinese donut and pickled radish, the texture is both soft, creamy, and crunchy. Hope you enjoy this video and give this recipe a try! Ingredients: Fantuan 2 cups glutinous rice pork floss pickled radish chinese donut (frozen) Japanese Egg Salad 5 hard boiled eggs whole milk kewpie mayo salt and pepper furikake 1. Prepare the glutinous rice as package instruct, be sure to soak the rice overnight 2. Air fry frozen Chinese donuts at 400 degrees for 10 min, can bake in oven as well 3. Prepare egg salad: make 5 hard boiled eggs by boiling them for 10 minutes, place in ice water when done to stop the cooking, once the eggs have cooled down enough, peel and smash in a mixing bowl. Add milk, kewpie, salt & pepper, and furikake. 4. Spread glutinous rice on plastic wrap and add your fillings: egg salad, pork floss, pickled radish, Chinese donut. Wrap and mold your Fantuan.
