ALIEN fish on the LIVEBAIT while saltwater jigging from the kayak

An all rounder of a day starting with an Early morning launch at Tamarin Beach while everyone else was still asleep Just me and my dad heading out on the kayak for Part 2… and things got wild fast. We started off jigging and dropshotting, picking up a mix of smaller fish and solid edible catches. The bite was consistent and the action didn’t stop The Nexusphere Phantom rod handled some great fish throughout the session, but everything changed when we switched to live bait… Out of nowhere — a massive, alien-looking fish smashed the live bait on the Nexusphere Terminus rod At the time, we had NO idea what we had hooked… and it turned into the craziest moment of the whole trip. This was easily the highlight of the day. We then ventured inshore to secure some more meat inside the reef casting around the Nexusphere agile minnow 6.8g. Gear used: – Nexusphere Phantom rod 80-200 paired with a penn battle iii dx 3000 – Nexusphere Terminus rod 100-500g paired with Shimano Ocean jigger 1500lhg – Live bait was a small goatfish caught on the jig with a basic knocker rig and metal leader.
