Dikeroyok, 1 Polisi Tewas dan 1 TNI Terluka, Pelaku Masih Buron

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The assault on a police officer and an Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldier at 5:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) on Sunday (April 18, 2021) was captured on surveillance cameras. As a result of the assault, a police officer from the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) unit, Yohanes Samuel Biet, was killed. Meanwhile, an Indonesian Army soldier from the Special Forces (Kopassus) unit, Donatus Boyau, was injured. Several eyewitnesses stated that although the altercation occurred at 5:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), the two witnesses found the injured victim, Bharatu Yohanes, lying on the sidewalk on Jl. Faletehan at 7:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Seeing this, the witnesses took the victim to the RSPP (National Hospital for the Poor) by taxi. After arriving at the RSPP, the victim was found to have died. Upon receiving a report of the incident, police arrived at the scene to examine the victim. The examination of the victim's body revealed a stab wound to the right arm and a laceration to the right thigh. Surveillance camera footage shows the perpetrators leaving after the assault, leaving the two victims behind. The police are currently searching for the perpetrators.
