Erika Alcocer opened her heart and recalled the difficult times she endured due to her obesity, including comments that, coming from such respected figures as Armando Manzanero, deeply affected her. The singer confessed that it hurt when Manzanero "displaced" her by telling her she needed to lose weight, given his stature as an artist. She also shared the discrimination she faced and the dangerous treatments and surgeries she underwent in her attempt to lose weight. Despite everything, Erika maintains that the version of herself that has triumphed the most is her "fat Erika," the same version with which she won La Academia and with which she has moved forward. This process has been so significant for her that she decided to get a tattoo of her fat Erika as a permanent reminder of strength, identity, and victory.
