Exploring Panama’s Hidden Jungle

If you’ve only seen the skyline side of Panama City, then honestly, you haven’t really seen Panama yet. In this video, I leave the city behind and head deep into the rainforest surrounding the Panama Canal to explore Gamboa, one of the most underrated places I’ve been to in Panama so far. We explore the famous Pipeline Road, known for having some of the best birdwatching in the world, walk through dense jungle surrounded by wildlife and sounds I’ve never heard before, and climb above the rainforest canopy at the Panama Rainforest Discovery Center just as a thunderstorm starts rolling in. And honestly… this place was wild. The crazy part about Panama is how quickly everything changes. One moment you’re surrounded by skyscrapers, traffic, rooftop bars, and city life… then less than an hour later you’re in untouched rainforest hearing birds echo through the jungle while massive ships pass through the canal nearby. This trip completely changed the way I look at Panama. We saw massive tropical trees, wildlife crossing the trails, insane jungle views stretching for miles, and one of the coolest atmospheres I’ve experienced anywhere in Latin America. Even just driving into Gamboa feels like stepping into a different world. The town itself almost feels frozen in time, with old American-style canal housing, rainforest roads, and nature everywhere around you.
