60103 'The Flying Scotsman' - The East Lancashire Railway 2026

Well, this happens to be my 300th video, and what a video to land on! Today we are at The East Lancashire Railway to film the world famous steam locomotive 'Flying Scotsman'. We see it in 5 locations through the day and it was an absolutely amazing day. To begin with, we hear her sounding absolutely fantastic as she passed Great Eaves Road (just after Ramsbottom) and we get a nice long whistle as well. Moving on from there, we climb the hills to get to the amazing spot at Burrs C.P and it is definitely worth it (just as seen in the thumbnail). We get a shot from each field as well. Moving on to the very next station down the line, we see it putting the power on through the station from both the entry and the exit end too. Moving on we go to a new favourite of mine, Brooksbottom Tunnel. I like having a lower angle here but I might move up above the tunnel when the trees have been cut down enough (they get in the way). Next we go to a developing favourite of mine, Miller Street. We see it powering through there, and the camera is angled higher so we can see how the steam rises up and above for both the forward and south route as it had some power on there. We then travel on to Irwell Vale and see the train heading south and north, but it annoyingly took the power off right before where I was positioned on the arrival end... After this, we head to Townsend Fold for a good passing of Scotsman, even though it was heading South. Now that we have seen all about the famous steam locomotive, we see 80097 at Lumb Wood, Departing Irwell Vale, Miller Street, After Summerseat (It was the accompanying locomotive alongside Scotsman). We then see the 104 DMU up the ski jump as it was on the heywood shuttles (because why not) Thanks for watching and I hope to see you around again soon in my videos.
