I went on a 48 hour trip with my older son Elias to Tuntsa Wilderness in Easter Lapland. This was our second Lapland hike, last year Topias was with us, too. Magnificent views were added to by emerging autumn colours and mainly favourable weather. A couple of items were broken, but we ourselves remained intact. We rarely met other people along the trail. A man is well in the peace of the wilderness! We followed mainly the UKK trail, which makes a loop at Tuntsa area. Our route was the following: Kuusivaara - Tuulenkaatomaa - Murhahaara Hut - Ansun Härkätunturi - off-trail trip to the fell Värriö Kuutonen (nro 6) - Härkätunturi Hut - back south via Murhahaara - Juntterioja - Tuntsa fireplace/shelter - Nuoluskuru tipi-hut - Kuskoiva fell - Pirunkirkko.
