#poldametrojaya #confinement BANDUNG, KOMPAS.TV - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) is investigating the alleged kidnapping, extortion, and assault of three printing company employees in Bungur, Senen, Central Jakarta. Seven perpetrators, including the owner of the printing company, have been named as suspects. The case came to light after police received a report of the alleged kidnapping of three printing company employees. When police arrived at the scene, the three victims were bound and handcuffed. Police suspect the case stemmed from an accusation of theft of printing plates, which was leveled against one of the victims. The suspects then demanded compensation of 50 million rupiah each for the alleged loss of printing plates worth 230 million rupiah. Police have named seven suspects with different roles. The perpetrators are suspected of blackmailing, assaulting, and shackling the three victims. Police have also confiscated evidence such as a padlock chain, shackles, and 55 million rupiah, suspected to be the proceeds of extortion. For their actions, the seven suspects were charged with multiple articles related to alleged extortion, assault, and deprivation of liberty. They are currently undergoing legal proceedings at the Central Jakarta Metro Police.
