Five Days of Hiking in Shenandoah National Park

This summer was some of the same and yet completely different. We managed to cram an east coast road trip into the part of summer between Memorial Day and a June move to Tulsa, OK. It was awesome. East coast summers are sticky and humid but we got really lucky with the only real rain coming through at night while we slept. It was great fun to see 'our part' of the county in summer while still having a western trip for the later summer awaiting us. In this episode, we visited Shenandoah National Park for four nights. We squeezed in every inch of hiking we physically could. We sweat. A lot. We saw rattlesnakes and tiny baby deer hiding in roadside meadows. I wiped out into a mountain river.
