In September, 2025, Aidan, Lane, Alex, and I ran the Crested Butte Ultra Marathon. The three of them did the 55k, while I ran the 50 mile distance. It was an extremely difficult day, spurned on by feeling sick beginning at mile ten and progressing worse and worse the further I went. I considered dropping out many time, but I’m glad I stuck it out and finished. The course was an incredibly beautiful place to suffer, with the Aspens in their full fall splendor.
