Dragon Warrior IV (NES) RTA speedrun in 6:50:10

Got the sub 7 I was looking for. This run was so much more powerful and better than my other runs up until this point. The #1 theme of this run was, lots of encounters, lots of first try flees. Chapter 1 wasn't fast, but I only reset on Chapter 1 if it's really bad Chapter 2 was easily the best I've ever had so far. It was nearly perfect, but I did take a wipe in Birdsong Tower. Thankfully with this route, you can afford to wipe once and be OK on money, but you sacrifice bringing Magic Potions to Chapter 5, but it wasn't a problem. First try Arena with a good HP and huge Strength Alena Chapter 3, the very first two enemies I fought with the Chain Sickle dropped items, including the Iron Spear. It wasn't that much of a help but it was unexpected. Rest of the chapter was fine Chapter 4 was alright, Mara almost didn't make it to Orin. Had some really nice fights for EXP through the end, especially the 2x Viceter on the way to Aktemto to help Nara out. Balzack fight opened with a double physical which surprised me, but it worked out fine. Chapter 5 was an OK start, the Statuette cave dive was a little slow, and Nara died on the way to the Trial cave, but it wasn't that bad. It had been awhile (since my first run ever actually), but I got a metal encounter in the Lighthouse which was awesome. Then Mara died to failing to run from Bengals, which sucked. The boss Bengal fight looked really sketchy until one turn where Nara landed a sleep and Hero landed an Expel, then it stabilized, but it nearly didn't Keeleon, Balzack and Bakota all cooperated. The Gardenbur Cave has been a major thorn in my side lately but it was OK today, and Bakota didn't get Stopspelled turn 1 which isn't common, but Cristo had some clutch Upper spells and it was fine afterwards. The grind started off SO slow and I was kind of in despair. Hero managed to miss like 90% of his Hammer hits for awhile. But after the 2nd one, the momentum was incredible. I left the grind spot at Lv27 Cristo like normal, but then the game just kept throwing Metal Babbles at me afterwards, and I ended up being way overlevelled, but that's how it goes. Esturk was just straight up ridiculous, it was 3 rounds and he barely did anything. I also managed to get HealUs without really trying? Also shoutouts to the Strength Seed drop from the Dragon Riders The World Tree, Zenithian Tower, and Final Cave were all alright. I didn't get the best encounters for Brey's EXP in the Final Cave so I took some weird ones, but it worked out. The Red Dragon fight I probably shouldn't have taken With such high stats, the final four just didn't really pose a threat. Infurnus Shadow wrecked me last run I tried, so it was nice to get revenge My first walk to Necrosaro was horrible. I spent so much MP with Cristo reviving characters, and then I made it nearly to the end and two Guardians ended my walk. So I reset, brought Cristo with me for better MP management with his Hat of Happiness, and the second walk was so much better. Necrosaro fight was just good. Last run I tried, I accidentally didn't bring the Sword of Lethargy on Ragnar, but that wasn't a problem this time. Alena's damage output was completely ridiculous. The final phase was just a nice time, there was one scary turn at the start but afterwards he went to sleep, got Sword of Decimation'd immediately, then Alena took it home, supported with a gigantic crit from Ragnar
