RAF Jurby Isle of Man 1994 revisited

Photographs taken at RAF Jurby in 1994. All are at the main camp and I know many are now gone. Originally planned to be a temporary armament training school and hence many of the structures were of Air Ministry Timber hutting. Considering Jurby was designed as a temporary station, amazing it remained active till 1963! A very unique station as most of the immediate pre war designed airfield were of a permanent design. I was only there a short time and did not picture everything I wanted to. They are scanned in from old photographs. Air Ministry drawing numbers are included where readable on the site plan. Please email me if you want a copy sending or if you want to use any. Check out my other RAF stations revisited. Many more to follow. Subscribe and you wont miss any new slideshows.
