📜 The Famous Supplication of El Hadji Malick Sy (May Allah Be Pleased with Him) Titled: "Hasbiya Allāh" – "Allah is Sufficient for Me" 🔹 Arabic Text (Original): أَللَّهُ حَسْبِي لِدِينِي حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ لِمَا إِلَيْهِ اهْتِمَامِي حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ لِكُلِّ بَاغٍ عَلَيْنَا دَائِمًا أَبَدًا كَذَا لِمَنْ يَحْسُدُونِي حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ أَللَّهُ حَسْبِي لِمَنْ بِسُوءِ كَادَ بِنَا كَذَاكَ عِنْدَ مَمَاتِي حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ وَعِنْدَ مَسْأَلَتِي فِي قَبْرِ ذَا فَرَقٍ لِمَا اقْتَرَفْتُ ذُنُوبًا حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ وَعِنْدَ مَا نُصِبَ الْمِيزَانُ مَعْدِلَةً نَرْجُوا نَبِيَّ أللَّهِ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ أَللَّهُ حَسْبِي إِذَا مَدَّ الصِّرَاطُ عَلَى مَتْنِ جَهَنَّمَ مَدًا حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ أَللَّهُ حَسْبِي لَا رَبَّ سِوَاهُ لَهُ تَوَكُّلِي وَإِيَابِي حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ يَا رَبِّي صَلِّ عَلَى الْمُخْتَارِ مِنْ مُضَرٍ فِي حَقِّهِ قُلْتُ حَقًّا حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ كَمَا نُصَلِّي عَلَى آلِ صَحَابَتِهِ مَا قَالَ عَبْدٌ مُنِيبٌ حَسْبِيَ أللَّهُ 🔹 English Translation: Allah is sufficient for me regarding my religion — Allah is sufficient for me. For all that concerns me — Allah is sufficient for me. Against every aggressor upon us, forever and ever, Likewise, against those who envy me — Allah is sufficient for me. Allah is sufficient for me against whoever has plotted evil against us. Likewise, at the time of my death — Allah is sufficient for me. And when I am questioned in the grave, a place of dread, For the sins I have committed — Allah is sufficient for me. And when the Scales are set up in perfect balance, We implore the Prophet of Allah, say: "Allah is sufficient for me." Allah is sufficient for me when the Sirat (bridge) is stretched over the back of Hell, extended widely — Allah is sufficient for me. Allah is sufficient for me; there is no Lord besides Him. In Him is my complete trust, and to Him is my return. O my Lord, send blessings upon the Chosen One (the Prophet ﷺ) from Mudar, For his sake, I have truly said: "Allah is sufficient for me." As we send blessings upon his Family and Companions, Whenever a repentant servant says: "Allah is sufficient for me." 🌟 Meaning & Spiritual Power: This powerful prayer, beautifully composed as a poem by El Hadji Malick Sy (ra), is rooted in tawakkul — complete reliance on Allah.
