La emotiva despedida de Susanna Griso tras el adiós informativo de Alsina: "Te echaré de menos"

The presenter of Espejo Público expressed her regret over the decision of the director of Más de uno, after which she tried to offer him a seat on her program's panel discussion, an offer the journalist declined. #alsina #radio #farewell https://www.ondacero.es/programas/mas... The weekly connection between Más de uno and Espejo Público was marked by Carlos Alsina's announcement that next season he will be leaving the news segment of Más de uno to focus on the entertainment portion of the program. This decision has generated numerous reactions both within and outside the media industry. The journalist explained that most of his colleagues in the industry have sent him messages of support, and some have even told him, "I wish I could be there." Susanna Griso admitted that the news made her somewhat sad: "I'm going to miss you a lot. You've left us orphaned; I wake up with you every morning." The presenter also mentioned that she is the same age as Alsina, to which he humorously replied, "Even though it might not seem like it." Alsina wanted to make it clear that this is not a retirement or an abandonment of radio, but a personal decision related to how he wants to spend his time: "I've been getting up early for many more years than Susanna. When you have the opportunity to decide how you want to dedicate every hour of your day, how can you pass up that opportunity?" The journalist insisted that he will continue working, but that now he has the possibility of choosing which parts of his job still excite him and which no longer appeal to him in the same way. Griso also revisited part of the monologue in which Alsina announced his decision, in which he defended the role of journalism: "Neither justifying those in power nor helping those who haven't been able to get into government on their own merits," and asked him if it was a dig at Núñez Feijóo. The presenter clarified that the debate wasn't about throwing barbs, but rather about reflecting on each journalist's editorial stance and the political interpretations that have arisen since his departure announcement. In this regard, Alsina asserted that the program's approach hasn't changed: "When you criticize the government, the opposition thinks you're one of them, and vice versa." He added that being critical doesn't automatically mean taking a stand against it: "If Feijóo does something right one day, it gets said. And if the government does something right, it gets said too." Griso endorsed this idea: "Let others do partisan journalism; we do journalism, plain and simple." Alsina also emphasized that "we're not here to whitewash what the government is doing, nor to help anyone else be the opposition." An invitation to be a panelist on Espejo Público During the interview, the presenter took the opportunity to invite Alsina to collaborate on Espejo Público, even offering him breakfast, although the journalist's response was immediate: "No." Alsina admitted that he doesn't feel particularly comfortable on television: "I don't know how to do television, and if I'm going to appear on your show, it will be to talk about news, which is precisely what I want to avoid." Griso, for her part, acknowledged the importance of the journalist in her daily routine: "My Carlos Alsina at seven in the morning is sacred; it's my first coffee." The presenter also wanted to emphasize that Rafa Latorre's new role deserves its own prominence: "We could have said that I was still doing the program and that Rafa would be talking at seven in the morning, like others do. But he deserves to have his own space." Plus Ultra Case The conversation then turned to the latest developments in the investigation related to José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero following the publication of the UDEF report. For Alsina, one of the keys to the matter lies in the figure of Julio Martínez: "As we learn more about the story, it becomes clear that he is a very important person in Zapatero's life, although we still don't know exactly in what capacity." The journalist pointed out that the report suggests that Martínez performed functions that were not only business-related, but also included political mediation with the Venezuelan government. Griso summarized this idea by describing him as a "conduit," raising the possibility that Martínez acted as an extension of the former president's influence. The presenter also expressed surprise at Zapatero's apparent intention to distance himself from Julio Martínez. Alsina recalled a previous interview given by the former president in which he conveyed a similar idea: "Julio Martínez and I are friends, but my knowledge on certain matters is limited."
