Is Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean Update Actually A Showcase Of Tech For Investors?

So Disneyland made a change to Pirates of the Caribbean and added a brand new animatronic to the classic ride. Cool, right? Well... maybe. The thing is, the more you dig into it, the more it starts to feel like this update wasn't really about making the attraction better for guests. It feels like Disney is using one of the most beloved rides in the park as a showroom floor for new animatronic technology. And look, we love seeing Disney push the limits of what their Audio-Animatronics can do. That stuff is genuinely impressive. But when you're touching a ride that people have loved for decades, the bar should be "does this make the experience better?" not "hey, check out what we built." We got into all of this on the podcast and honestly it sparked a really good conversation about where Disney draws the line between innovation and just... showing off. What do you think? Is the new addition a welcome upgrade or does it feel a little out of place on a ride that was already perfect? Drop your take in the comments below.
