The Cairngorm 400 - A Five Day Cycling/Bikepacking Adventure

The Cairngorm 400 is a five day 400 kilometre cycle/bikepacking route through five Scottish Counties and encircling the Cairngorm Mountains. Starting in the Angus Glens then into Aberdeenshire, Moray, Highlands and Perth & Kinross, and back into Angus again, the route takes you along some classic cycling routes and parts of the Cairngorm Loop; through stunning and remote glens, along old military and drovers roads, with interesting climbs and beautiful views along the way. This route was originally planned to allow stopping overnight in locations to charge e-bikes, but is ideally suited for bike-packing on gravel bikes or MTB’s, with many camp sites and wild camping spots along the way.
