Wilton Bullet Vise Restoration. Copper Jaw Inserts
Welcome back! This week I'm restoring a 1965 3-1/2" Wilton Bullet vise. I bought this vice in New Bern, NC in 2022. This model has the ability to clamp pipe with the set of jaws under the primary jaws. I just think these vices are really cool looking. I did not go over board with body work, but did clean up the worst areas. Wilton Vise Co. was founded in 1941 in Chicago but they only manufactured there up to 1957 before moving to Schiller Park, IL. They are awesome vises and I'm lucky enough to have a few. My favorite is my 4" 1942 Bullet. One of the real early vises they made and most of those were used in the war effort. Let me know what you think about the color I choose for this one.
