"Les Noirs" were formed in Kinshasa in the late 1960's (with musicians from both side of the Congo river) by the great Chuza Kabaselle, a Kasai-born artist who grew up in Uganda and Kenya... Quite the legend, Chuza had already established a successful career in East Africa with several bands (including one started with soldiers who had, like him, served in India during WW2 under the british colonial army). With him, Les Noirs built a solid reputation touring throughout East Africa and recording many singles and a few LPs in Kenya... #Soukous #Congo #Kenya Audio extracted from original vinyl, shared exclusively for preservation of beautiful & rare music otherwise non publicly available in digital format (to our knowledge).
