Maybellene's TH400 suddenly stopped shifting into 3rd gear after getting warmed up during an early morning cruise. I check the governor, pull the valve body, inspect the transmission, clean years of accumulated sludge from the hydraulic circuits, replace the separator plate gaskets, and begin putting everything back together in hopes of bringing this 56-year-old TH400 back around.
