Motorhome novelties 2024 Work-life balance on wheels: the Daily Switch Is it possible to reconcile a job and a vacation at your workplace? The IVECO Daily Switch proves impressively simply that it can, and redefines work-life balance: it is a fully-fledged van that can be converted into a comfortable camper with just a few flicks of the wrist. And even fine gradations are possible in between. That's why the Daily Switch can also be used as an emergency vehicle or set up as a mobile office. How did the Daily Switch come about? The IVECO Daily model has been known for its versatility in everyday work for over 40 years. But that wasn't enough for a project group of product specialists and camping enthusiasts. A year and a half ago, they launched the Daily Switch project to show that the IVECO Daily can do much more than "just" be a partner for business. As with any project that inspires with a vision, the ideas for the interior initially overflowed. But gradually, the tinkerers crystallized out what would fit together ideally. The result is a multifunctional vehicle that doesn't have to compromise on either work or vacation.What can the Daily Switch do? The Daily Switch offers every freedom right from the start. The panel van can be freely selected in the range between 3.5 and 7.2 tons gross vehicle weight. The engine, wheelbase and roof height can be configured just as individually. The interior alone, with wall and ceiling panels including excellent insulation, follows a uniform principle: Here, the airline rails perfectly arranged on the floor, roof and side walls serve not only to secure the load of transport goods, but also as anchors for the homely camper modules. Bed, kitchen, folding table, swiveling individual seats, toilet and cabinet pockets - all the living modules, for which IVECO has brought a renowned camper extension manufacturer on board, can be integrated effortlessly. But no matter which options you choose, even the basic equipment in the Daily Switch is impressive. An inviting floor in parquet optics, two light and air-giving roof hatches with integrated ventilator, lateral sliding windows as well as a rotating driver and passenger seat are installed as standard. Power and warmth are provided by a warm-air parking heater under the passenger seat and an electrical package consisting of an AGM battery (approx. 100Ah), charger for body and starter battery, 600W inverter, two USB charging sockets, three 12V charging sockets, a CE socket for shore connection and two 230V sockets in the interior.Among other things, the power supply operates the eight well-distributed LED spots, four of which can be controlled via a light switch. The power supply is always visible thanks to the digital display. Storage compartments for personal items that you like to have with you during work or camping can be found in the right wheel well. The left wheel well houses the battery and wiring for the electrical package. Does this perfectly designed standard equipment leave anything to be desired?
