Was the Soviet Union Socialist?
The October Revolution of 1917 created the most democratic regime in human history. Through the Soviets, power was in the hands of the workers and peasants for the first time in history. These gains however were later lost under Stalin. So was the Soviet Union actually socialist? Fightback is a revolutionary organization fighting for the socialist transformation of society. We are the Canadian section of the International Marxist Tendency. We actively seek to educate workers and youth in the genuine ideas of Marxism, in order to fight back against capitalist attacks and austerity. If you agree with our ideas and want to fight for socialism, contact us! marxist.ca/about #marxism #communism #socialism #history
