Advanced Brain Recovery Through Personalized Neurorehabilitation

Help advance ME/CFS and long COVID research. Your donation makes a difference: https://givenow.nova.edu/donations-fo... In today's episode, Haylie Pomroy sits down with Dr. Philip DeFina, a leading researcher and clinician in advanced neurorehabilitation, to explore how personalized, non-invasive brain interventions are changing outcomes for patients with traumatic brain injury, disorders of consciousness, long COVID, and neurodegenerative disease. Dr. DeFina explains his approach of combining electrical, magnetic, and chemical interventions simultaneously, a philosophy that has helped over 300 patients emerge from severe disorders of consciousness after being told elsewhere that recovery was not possible. He breaks down the neuroinflammatory feedback loop connecting the brain, the hormone system, and the immune system, the science behind hyperbaric oxygen therapy, his specialized free program for military veterans, and his detailed protocol for addressing the infectious encephalopathy underlying long COVID brain fog. This is a conversation about what becomes possible when brain medicine catches up to the complexity of the brain itself. Tune in to Hope and Help For Fatigue and Chronic Illness.
