Sir John Hurt on Desert Island Discs 1984 with Roy Plomley
Great interview with actor Sir John Hurt where he reflects on his life. He recalls his early life and getting the part of Richard Rich in the film A Man for all Seasons. He recalls making the dark film 10 Rillington Place and as he explains having a unique technical adviser on set to film the hanging scenes. He talks about meeting Quentin Crisp and working with Richard Burton just before Burton died. This interview is a mere snapshot of his work and sadly he is no longer with us, however his legacy is in his work for all of us to enjoy. This is an edited version of the interview with added music from his work. Please leave comments if you so wish.
