"The turbocharged king-diesel has a working volume of 26 liters with a cylinder size of 140 by 140 millimeters. The rated power of the YaMZ-855 exceeds a thousand horsepower, and the maximum torque is 4300 Newton meters. The declared resource reaches 50 thousand engine hours. Such engines will be equipped with quarry dump trucks, industrial tractors, bulldozers, as well as modern diesel generator and pump units. Nikolay Shamal: "These are clients whom we trust very much. Because testing such a product is, in fact, a very expensive pleasure. And we do this with the help of our partners, that is... About ten companies are testing this engine. Its main area of ​​application is power generation. We are also planning a marine version: there is a lot of interest in this issue. And such consumers, known to everyone, as BelAZ, Chetra (a manufacturer of industrial tractors) are those we are also counting on, but this will be a little later." At the same time, it is important to note that we have a highly localized product in front of us. The only imported part here is the direct fuel injection system. But there are already plans to establish local production of the ramp, injectors and other necessary components. And the heads, block, crankshaft and other important parts are of domestic origin.
