Sketching People On The Go
In today’s demo, I’m sketching a lady on the train from Cannon Street to Belvedere. I’ll show you how to start a portrait sketch, use angles, organic lines, and curved hatching to build form, and capture movement and expression without overworking your drawing. This sketch was done with a Faber-Castell Lyra Colour Giant pencil, perfect for bold, expressive lines. You’ll see how I use simple shapes, rhythm, and tone to create a lifelike sketch.
