In developing the XF, DAF built on its highly regarded cab concept, known for its spaciousness and practical comfort. The completely redesigned front end, combined with new fenders, fenders, and side skirts, creates a truly modern appearance. No one knows this better than DAF. Following a long tradition, with the launch of the new XF, we are also introducing a new level of driver comfort. With a volume of 12.6 cubic meters, the driver of the DAF XF Super Space Cab has the largest cab for working and living. Designing a truck for the future requires forward-thinking. We therefore started with an open mind regarding the driver's future needs. More comfort, more safety. Changes to the driver's workplace concept. If everyone can work from their own living room today, why shouldn't drivers have the right to do the same? That may sound strange, but that's exactly what we did: transforming the driver's workplace into their living room. First-class interior Above all, the XF offers all drivers a comfortable seating position thanks to a new generation of seats with excellent comfort and ease of use. Thanks to the numerous adjustment options, an extraordinary number of settings are available. New features include a shoulder-level backrest and height-adjustable integrated seatbelts. Two-stage ventilation and heating are available as options, as are leather upholstery and a small compressed air gun for cleaning the cab. The pedals also contribute to an ideal driving position. The accelerator pedal allows for even more sensitive operation thanks to new electronics. Furthermore, the brake pedal is now suspended, providing more space for the driver's feet. Behind the steering wheel is the redesigned instrument panel, whose switches have been regrouped by function for more intuitive operation. This makes it easier for the driver to find the switches. The instrument panel now also includes two double-DIN mounting bays. In addition to the optional DAF Truck Navigation radio with USB port, there is now also space for an additional fleet management or camera system. The familiar DAF table has remained where it always was. PACCAR MX engine: Focused on profit The Paccar MX 13 EURO 6 engine Compliant with Euro 6 emissions regulations was just one of the development factors for the PACCAR MX-13 engine. Naturally, it had to be extremely reliable and durable. Furthermore, it had to offer good fuel consumption and excellent drivability with plenty of torque at the Euro 5 ATe level. The PACCAR MX-13 is a combination of proven, state-of-the-art technology and intelligent technical innovations. It is offered with power outputs of 410, 460, and 510 hp, and torques of 2000, 2300, and 2500 Nm, across a wide rev range between 1000 and 1425 rpm. This power is fed into our new transmissions. The AS-Tronic automatic transmission offers special features such as EcoRoll (driving the truck downhill with the engine idling) and FastShift (no clutch disengagement between 11th and 12th gear) to further improve fuel consumption.
