BIDMAS
It is a common error in maths to assume that a sum containing more than one step, or operation, should be worked out in a line from left to right. In fact, the BIDMAS rule tells us otherwise and it is vital that students understand this order of operations in order to find the correct solution. This video is a simple demonstration of how it all works. It focuses on the need of functional skills level 1 maths learners, but in order to explain the concept properly it does look at all the different functions covered by BIDMAS
