How to Track Workbook Content Usage in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence
Monitor workbook adoption and performance in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence with Oracle-delivered usage tracking analytics. See how to find Usage Tracking workbooks, interpret sessions and logical queries, and save custom reporting here at the resources linked below. In this tutorial, you learn how to track workbook content usage in Oracle FDI using Oracle-delivered Usage Tracking workbooks. The walkthrough shows how functional administrators can monitor user engagement and query activity to understand adoption trends and identify performance patterns across the organization. You start on the home page and use the navigator to open the catalog, then go to shared folders, common, and usage tracking. You open the first prebuilt workbook, Usage Tracking, to review long-term trends such as user sessions and average logical queries per user across the last 12 or 18 months. You then explore additional canvases that show a weekly overview of logical queries for the last three months and highlight the top users by number of logical queries. Next, you return to the catalog and open the Usage Tracking Analysis dashboard. This workbook analyzes report usage and performance over time, with details by login and workbook. You review tiles summarizing users, sessions, logical queries, and subject areas used, then examine charts such as the top workbooks by logical queries and user sessions. The performance overview helps you isolate user-specific or systemic issues that affect the analytics experience. Finally, you build a custom analysis by copying a visualization, pasting it into a new canvas, and adjusting filters to broaden coverage across all folders and content types. You remove time filters to review long-term patterns, disable filters that limit results to shared folders or subject areas, switch the visualization to a horizontal bar chart for readability, and remove the top ten restriction to uncover additional adoption gaps. Because prebuilt workbooks cannot be overwritten, you use Save As to create a copy in your team folder for ongoing reporting. 0-0:40 what is usage tracking 0:40-0:58 prebuilt usage tracking dashboards 0:58-1:38 usage overview dashboard 1:38-3:03 usage tracking analysis dashboard 3:03-5:25 custom usage tracking analysis Explore self-paced short courses in the Oracle Analytics and AI Learning Hub: https://social.ora.cl/6002B6nsH2 Find training paths for Oracle Analytics and AI from beginner to advanced and expert: https://social.ora.cl/6009B6nsJv Check out detailed instructions on usage tracking: https://social.ora.cl/6002B6ns3q Like what you learned about Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence?
