Sometimes you don't realise how much you need a day... until the day is over ! 🏁 1/8th Scale RC Racing - This is INSANE! Now I Get the Hype! 🤯🏁 Welcome back to ChriswithaC RC! 👊 Today we're diving head first into the incredible world of 1/8th scale RC racing, electric buggy racing, off-road RC racing, and one of the most exciting race days I've ever experienced. If you've ever wondered why racers are obsessed with 1/8th scale electric buggies, BRCA racing, race buggy setup, club racing, and competitive RC, this video might just answer that question. We head to Ledbury Model Car Club for the Evolution Models Summer Series, where I compete in my very first proper 1/8th E Buggy race. From huge jumps and high-speed battles to making the A Final and finishing 10th out of 50 drivers, this was a day I'll genuinely never forget. Hey guys and welcome back to the channel! 👊🏁 If you've been following the channel recently, you'll know life's thrown a few challenges my way. Sometimes we all need a chance to switch off, clear our heads, and remember why we fell in love with this hobby in the first place. For me... this was that day. While racing with some great friends, they asked if I'd like to enter my very first proper 1/8th Scale Electric Buggy race. As many of you know, we've spent a lot of time racing 1/10th scale buggies recently, but I'd never committed to a full 1/8th race meeting before. After recently building the Rlaarlo DSK Pro Kit and falling in love all over again with my Team Associated RC8B3.2e, it felt like the perfect opportunity to take the plunge and see what all the excitement was about. Honestly... I had absolutely no idea how much I needed this day. It wasn't just about racing. It wasn't about results. It was about spending time with friends, forgetting about everything happening outside the track, and simply enjoying the moment. The laughs, the banter, the racing, the adrenaline... it reminded me exactly why I love RC. Sometimes this hobby is about more than lap times. Sometimes it's exactly what your mind needs. 🏁 Welcome to Ledbury Model Car Club The venue for this incredible day was the fantastic Ledbury Model Car Club, hosting one of the rounds of the Evolution Models Summer Series. If you've never raced there before, the track is absolutely brilliant. Fast, technical, challenging and incredibly well prepared. The atmosphere throughout the day was second to none, with racers helping each other, sharing setup advice and creating exactly the sort of welcoming environment that makes people fall in love with club racing. I honestly couldn't have picked a better place for my first proper 1/8th scale race meeting. 😳 Better Than I Ever Expected... I went into the day hoping simply to learn. Instead... 🏁 Qualified for the A Final. 🏁 Finished 10th overall out of 50 drivers. 🏁 Learned an unbelievable amount. 🏁 Left wanting to race 1/8th scale every chance I get. Safe to say...
