WS Mori with well wishers HANAE MORI BOWS OUT OF PARIS COUTURE A sincere round of applause and a standing ovation greeted Hanae Mori as she completed her final Paris Show.The Japanese designer is bowing out after 27 years in the business and her final collection included many of her signature looks. Hanae Mori devoted her swan song collection to her trademark style - the fusion of East and West "I am a Japanese woman but have worked in Paris for 27 years, and this time I wanted to make the collection East meets West that's all" commented the designer after the show. The show opened with dragon motifs taken from Kabuki on a satin coat; other prints and motifs were devoted to the Orient with bird designs and colours dominated by black , white and red. Lace featured in a variety of contexts - in black and neutral. The hard edge of snakeskin was counteracted by delicate evening dresses in chiffon and use of light embroidery.
