Fine Watches Berlin isn't your typical watch brand in many ways. First and foremost is that they are a Father and Daughter team. In the watch world "and son" has been well established many times over, but and daughter is rarely seen. This alone made us excited to meet Wilfried and Mia to find out what that particular dynamic was like. Their designs are definitely german but have a touch of daring that most german designs avoid. Something that came as a bit of a surprise, but makes total sense is that the Fine Watches Berlin models appeal to both men and women almost equally. In a market dominated by male buyers it's rarely the case. In fact slightly more women buy watches from Fine Watches Berlin than men. Is it the bright colours, the classic but bold design, practical legibility, or Mia's influence that attract women buyers? Something Wilfried and Mia are well aware of is that a successful watch brand can't rely on watch enthusiasts like us. In order to grow into something great, you need the casual customer to buy your product. In fact it's also my belief that the majority of watch brands that fail forget to attract the casual audience. Fine Watches Berlin has marketed themselves to the masses by advertising through mediums not directly related to horology.
