In the 1950s and 60s there was a lot of emigration from Ireland and this new poem describes the heartfelt longing of the emigrants to return to their homeplace, in this case Dublin City...While embracing and working hard in their adopted countries they always had one eye and one mind on coming back.....The poem read here by Bingo nolan
