This area is known as Bukik Karamuntiang / Hill of Rhodomyrtus tomentosa, and is situated at an elevation of approximately 255 m above sea level. The campus overlooks Padang City, with views of the blue Indian Ocean stretching to the west. To the east are rows of Barisan hills. Meanwhile, to the north and south are valleys, each crossed by tributaries. The natural environment is beautiful and green, providing a comfortable atmosphere and beautiful natural panoramas. Unand's Limau Manis campus is undoubtedly very conducive to learning and research, exploring and developing science and technology for the nation's prosperity. The building boasts unique architecture: a combination of traditional Minangkabau (buffalo horn) roof designs and modern structures. The university is in the process of upgrading its facilities to accommodate academic and extracurricular activities. Almost all faculties are located in Limau Manis, except for the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Public Health, and the Faculty of Dentistry, which are located in the Jati area (the first campus), Padang. Unand currently has Campus II in Payakumbuh, approximately 120 km from Padang, and Campus III in Dharmasraya, approximately 200 km from Padang. Andalas University consists of fifteen faculties, with its main campus in Limau Manis, Padang; there are also other campuses in Padang, Payakumbuh, and Dharmasraya.
