2020 Kia Xceed Review: Xceeding Expectations?

Oh great, just what the car market needs, yet another SUV. Actually, this isn't an SUV, this is in fact a CUV - a Crossover Utility Vehicle. Right... More specifically, what this is, is the new Kia Xceed, a car which the South Korean brand states is one the most high-tech cars in its class, whilst delivering a sporty alternative to your average SUV. That sounds good, but is it able to Xceed expectations? I'm really sorry, I simply couldn't help myself. The Xceed is a crossover version of the new Ceed hatchback, and is available in three trim levels, 2, 3 and First Edition. The version in this video is the 2, and although, it's the base model, it's not exactly lacking for kit. With a starting price of £20,795, it comes with LED lights front and rear, 16" alloys, 8" touchscreen, DAB radio, smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth, air conditioning, and reversing camera to name a few. The Xceed is available with a 1.0 litre petrol, a 1,4 litre petrol, and a 1.6 litre diesel - it's the 1.0 litre that features in this car. It's turbocharged, has three cylinders, and has a power output of 120hp with 172Nm of torque. 60mph comes in 10.9 seconds, and the top speed is 115mph. On a combined run Kia states that it will offer up to 52.3mpg, with CO2 emissions of 124g/km emitted.
