An Analysis of Northanger Abbey: Claptrap on the Classics EP 2
Northanger Abbey is both Jane Austen's first and last novel. It was the first she attempted to publish, but wasn't until after her death. I hadn't read it before a few months ago and I was pleasantly surprised to discover just how funny it was. Join me in an exploration of the characters, plot, and themes of Northanger Abbey with some comparisons thrown in to Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, and Mansfield Park thrown in for good measure. And for the record there is a super cut of this that's an hour, but I cut Jane Austen's life and the history of Regency England.
