How to Swap a SBC V8 into a Chevy S10: Part 2 - Mounting the Engine and Transmission In this video, we continue our How to Swap a SBC V8 into a Chevy S10 series truck tutorial by mounting and connecting the engine and transmission. In part 1 of this tutorial, we introduced you to the basics of swapping a SBC V8 into a Chevy S10. Now it's time to mounting and connecting the engine and transmission. in this part, we'll show you how to install the engine mounts and the transmission mounts. We'll also discuss the installation of the engine and transmission wiring. Finally, we'll show you how to connect the engine and transmission. Update: This 355ci V8 engine has been changed out for a fully forged 383 Stroker pushing 525 hp at the crank. In this video I will be doing the fitment of the 355ci engine with the TCI transmission already mated to the engine. Fitment issues that we had when doing this build: Moroso 7qt oil pan was to large and needed to be removed. Factory oil pan put back on. Driveshaft needed a 3 inch extension, the 4l60e was just a little longer. Headers would not clear the brake lines. AC would not clear the tall valve covers I wanted to use.
