Big Buddha Phuket: Facts, Rules, Timings, Best Time to Visit

We visited the Big Buddha during the receding monsoons in late September. It was cloudy and pleasant during the sunset, but also slightly crowded. The best time to visit is early mornings when the sun isn't shining bright, and the crowds don't gather as they do between 11 am and 2 pm. You can also come during sunset to grab the beautiful views of the Kata Karon beaches. The Big Buddha is a place of worship and of great importance to Thailand's Buddhist population.
