Scotty Cameron Phantom 5.5 vs Fastback 1.5
These two putters might look the same, but they are very different. The Phantom 5.5 looks like a mallet but plays like a blade. The Fastback 1.5 is closer to a true mallet. Each putter has a different effect on every player, the basics are this though: blade rotates more than a mallet. In this video, we explore what are the effects of each putter on a player's stroke. The different materials in the head account for the different flow. The 5.5 with the lighter aluminum helps the club rotate more while the Fastback, with the heavier stainless steel construction, limits rotation a touch.
