Legendary status for 50 years: Terence Hill and Bud Spencer have a worldwide fan base, whether as film heroes in solo projects or as a congenial duo with such different characters. Their films are regularly shown on German television with high ratings. There are fan events with large participation, Terence and Bud are simply cult. In a fast-moving time, her films are timeless and even inspire young people. The biggest fan groups are of course in Italy and Germany. So it was only logical that dedicated supporters created a place that keeps the memory of the two screen heroes alive for everyone: the Bud Spencer Museum and the Terence Hill Museum. About a 10-minute walk from the Brandenburg Gate, the Bud Spencer Museum opened in the German capital Berlin in the summer of 2021. For fans of Flatfoot and Nobody, a visit there is of course a must. What many friends of the cultivated acoustic and physical dialogue, including many German fans, do not know: there is already a Terence Hill Museum to visit since May 2019. In Lommatzsch, not far from Dresden, the capital of the Free State of Saxony, a pilgrimage site for the heartthrob of women with the distinctive blue eyes has been created. Lommatzsch is the hometown of his German mother Hildegard Thieme. Terence Hill was born in Venice but lived in the small town of Saxony between the ages of four and eight. Terence grew up bilingual and still speaks excellent German. I visited the Terence Hill Museum in February 2023 and would like to share a few impressions with you in my film. It's a little journey through time, starting with Terence Hill's famous great-grandfather and of course reaching a real climax in 1995 with the actor's much-acclaimed visit to Lommatzsch. The Terence Hill Museum is located in a beautiful half-timbered house right on the market square and has much more to offer than what I have shown you - discover it for yourself. Of course, a few short, legendary film scenes should not be missing from my visual journey. I had a lot of fun creating it and, thanks to the helpful initiators and staff of the Terence Hill Museum, I was also able to look behind the scenes and learn a lot myself. Through the inner courtyard, past an impressive special exhibition about Bud Spencer in pictures and text, you then enter a second, smaller half-timbered house. This is where the ice cream café is located. In the warmer months, the outdoor area invites you to enjoy ice cream, cake and coffee. Alternatively, on the first floor of the café, a cosily furnished room with posters of well-known films by Bud and Terence awaits its guests. In the small souvenir area, every fan is sure to find a small memento of the museum visit. Es finden Fan Veranstaltungen mit großer Beteiligung statt, Terence und Bud sind einfach Kult. Folgerichtig war es dann, dass engagierte Anhänger einen Ort schufen, der Erinnerungen an die beiden Leinwandhelden für jedermann lebendig hält: das Bud Spencer Museum und das Terence Hill Museum. In Lommatzsch,unweit von Dresden, der Landeshauptstadt des Freistaates Sachsen, ist eine Pilgerstätte für den Frauenschwarm mit den unverwechselbaren blauen Augen entstanden. Lommatzsch ist der Herkunftsort seiner deutschen Mutter Hildegard Thieme. Terence Hill ist zwar in Venedig geboren, hat aber zwischen seinem vierten und achten Lebensjahr in der sächsischen Kleinstadt gelebt. Terence wuchs zweisprachig auf und spricht nach wie vor hervorragend Deutsch. Es ist eine kleine Zeitreise, die bei dem berühmten Urgroßvater von Terence Hill beginnt und natürlich 1995 mit dem vielumjubelten Besuch des Schauspielers in Lommatzsch einen echten Höhepunkt bereithält. Das Terence Hill Museum befindet sich direkt am Marktplatz und hat noch viel mehr zu bieten- entdeckt es selbst. Durch den Innenhof gelangt man vorbei an einer beeindruckenden Sonderausstellung über Bud Spencer in Bild und Text dann in ein zweites, kleineres Fachwerkhaus. Hier befindet sich das Eiscafe`. In den wärmeren Monaten lädt die Freifläche zum Genuss von Eis, Kuchen und Kaffe ein. Alternativ wartet in der ersten Etage des Cafe`s ein gemütlich eingerichteter Raum mit Postern bekannter Filme von Bud und Terence auf seine Gäste. Im kleinen Souvenirbereich findet jeder Fan mit Sicherheit eine kleine Erinnerung an den Museumsbesuch.
