Yamaha Montage MODX FAQ 24 Layers and Splits
More info on the YamahaMODXFAQ blog: https://yamahamodxfaq.wordpress.com/2... In some of the previous videos we used the 'trick' to copy a Part to achieve certain effects. Doing so we actually created a 'layered' sound. We can bring this to another level by layering different instruments, like piano, strings, bass and drums, to form a combo. We can use a keyboard split to separate the bass from the piano and strings by adjusting the key range of these Parts. We can have the drums and bass play an arpeggio and we can use the Scene buttons to switch between different arpeggios and before we know it we've created a complete 'one man band'.
