Cubase Trick: Keep Global Tracks Visible While You Work – Divide Tracklist

Your arranger track, chord track, signature track and other global tracks are essential, but the moment your project fills up with audio tracks, they scroll out of view. In this video I show you the Split Track List feature in Cubase and Nuendo, which lets you divide your track area into two independent workspaces. The top workspace keeps your global tracks, like the arranger track, chord track, reference tracks, or VCA faders permanently visible, no matter how far you scroll through your audio tracks below. I walk through resizing both workspaces, why marker tracks for film scenes are a game changer when placed in the top area, and the one thing you need to know about selections, since the top and bottom workspaces behave independently by default. I also show how to use Edit, Range, Cut Time to remove bars from both workspaces at once. A small feature with a huge impact, especially in film scoring sessions packed with global tracks.
