The main blood types in this system are: 🅰️ Type A – has antigen A and anti-B antibody. 🅱️ Type B – has antigen B and anti-A antibody. 🆎 Type AB – has antigens A and B, and has no antibodies (universal receptor). 🅾️ Type O – has no antigens, but has anti-A and anti-B antibodies (universal donor). This system is essential for understanding compatibility in blood transfusions, since incompatible transfusions can cause serious reactions in the body.
