Here's a memorable story featuring Charles Laughton at his very best! You'll get to hear a great performance by June Havoc, too. She plays an artist (she pronounces it "arteest") who is a contortionist that brings her talents to the stage. Laughton is a member of the audience who's been to every one of her shows. He pays an usher to take a note to Havoc, asking her out on a blind date. He comes to her dressing room to meet her, but before they go out he demands a "private performance" from her, showing off her skills as a contortionist. While she's bending over backwards on a chair, you can hear Laughton breathing and giggling with delight! This is only the beginning, as the story takes one terrifying turn after another - leading up to a shocking conclusion to one of the creepiest episodes, ever!
