Tips & Tricks: Using Barbs On Closure Elastic

When using TNs and folios the knot in closure elastic can be a pain. In a folio it pushes into the spine of your thicker notebooks and can get in the way of a nice fit in the cover. In folios/TNs made with very thin leathers it can stretch out the hole and distort your leather. In TNs with back closure it can cause a bump in your leather and make it uneven under your inserts when writing. Adding a barb to the closure elastic remedies this. It's super easy to do and kind of fun too! In this video I share some of the covers I've done this on and show you how to do it yourself.
