The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) confirmed that the four people killed in Matola were, in fact, criminals, including a known fugitive named Rachid Hamad Khan. According to a PRM spokesperson, the deaths occurred during a PRM operation investigating individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities in the region. The PRM says Rachid Hamad Khan had been wanted for some time. He is known for being involved in various illicit activities and for leading a criminal network of kidnappings and robberies in the region.
