Connectors are essentially software components that enable communication with event sources via specific protocols and mechanisms and collect events, or signals, from technological devices. This event collection center has its own interface, which allows the system administrator to monitor statuses on dashboards. In this slide, we see 116 connected devices, one management server, and 17 different types of connectors. Loggers can also be managed; collectors are essentially devices on the data bus.
