❌ Ma voiture ne démarre pas - 3 choses à vérifier !

Let me tell you about my predicament when—lost in the Spanish mountains south of Bilbao—I couldn't get my Clio 2 diesel started after a short break. I'll mainly explain three things I should have checked before calling roadside assistance! After starting the car in first gear with the handbrake on, my Renault Clio 2 wouldn't start. I turned the key, but nothing happened when I tried to start it. Take a moment to analyze the situation: Does the red immobilizer light go out when you turn the key? Can you hear the starter motor trying to crank the engine when you turn the key? Is your battery sufficiently charged? And most importantly… how do I find a solution to get this car started? Regarding the immobilizer, I'd appreciate any advice on your experiences, because aside from locking and unlocking the car, I haven't found a "simple" solution. For the starter, try rocking the car back and forth with a gear engaged. You can also lightly tap the starter while turning the ignition key. If possible, measure your battery voltage with a multimeter. It should be between 12.3 and 13.5 volts when the car is off. Ideally, you should also test it with a device that simulates starting the engine to verify that it's delivering enough current to start the engine. If your battery is dead but you use your vehicle frequently, check the alternator. When your engine is running, the battery voltage is generally above 13.5 volts. If your immobilizer turns off correctly, you can always try push-starting the car. Engage second gear, depress the clutch pedal, push the car, and once you've gained some momentum, gradually (but quickly) release the clutch pedal. The compression in the cylinders should start your diesel vehicle. This video doesn't cover every possible car starting problem, but I'd love to hear your other tips in the comments! I hope this video helps! ─────────────────────────────── 🔧 Equipment used in this video (Amazon affiliate links): ▶ 12V car battery: https://amzn.to/REMPLIR 🛠 My recommended tools: ▶ OBD2 diagnostic scanner (recommended): https://amzn.to/REMPLIR ▶ Complete mechanical tool kit: https://amzn.to/REMPLIR #mechanics #mechanictutorial #carrepair #DIY #selflearning 👍 If this video helped you, subscribe so you don't miss the next tutorials!
