Quiet day resetting my space | Baking | Slow day at home

Today I’m organizing and decluttering my closet, going through clothes and setting pieces aside to donate. I like to take it one step at a time so it doesn’t feel overwhelming just a simple reset to make the space feel calm and manageable again. I’m also making an easy Portuguese chocolate salami for a little sweet treat. It’s such a simple recipe and always turns out so good I’ll leave the recipe below if you’d like to try it. Thank you so much for being here 🤍 #slowliving #slowmorning #cozyhome #simpleliving #easyrecipes Chocolate Salami ¾ cup traditionally Portuguese Bolacha Maria (or any tea biscuit/digestive biscuit/vanilla cookie) ¼ cup nut of choice (toasted, coarsely chopped (optional)) 1 cup semi sweet chocolate ¾ stick unsalted butter 6 tablespoon milk A splash of alcohol of choice (ex. Kahlua, Amaretto, brandy, rum, optional) Powdered sugar (for coating) Instructions Place biscuits in a large zip lock bag and crush them using a rolling pin until you have small and coarse crumbs. Transfer crumbs to a large bowl and stir in nuts. In a medium bowl place chocolate and butter. Heat in the microwave or in a double boiler until melted and smooth. Add milk and alcohol, if using, and stir. Add in chocolate mixture to crumb mixture and mix until combined. Spread the mixture onto parchment paper or plastic wrap. Shape it into a log using a spatula or spoon. Roll up the paper and twist the ends to seal. Place in the fridge for 3-4 hours until firm. After chilling, remove log from the paper, dust with icing sugar on all sides. Use your hands to spread the icing sugar evenly over the log. Slice into pieces and serve. Store in the fridge or freezer. If kept in the freezer, place at room temperature for a few minutes before cutting or serving.
