Piaggio SI 65 Polini di Giuseppe... Prova su strada!

Let's see how it goes! Hi everyone, today we'll test the Polini SI, where I mounted the 43 mm Polini cylinder, a 13 mm carburetor, and a Giannelli Fire muffler. After several jet tests, I installed a 66 with the original filter. With a larger jet and an open air filter, it performed much better, but it tended to get relentlessly rich at idle. Since the engine needs to run well even at idle, I decided to "de-power" it, but not by much. Now the bike runs well across the entire rpm range without any issues with excessive leanness. For the transmission, we have a multivar variator with 6-gram rollers, a standard Olympia clutch, and a smooth RMS belt. In theory, it needs to be optimized, but for now, it's fine; we'll work on it later. The bike runs very well; we reached 71 km/h with this setup. It can certainly be improved with a more aggressive calibration.
