Supported by Dhaka Bank, the festival is aimed at reflecting the nuances of tradition and contemporary culture, through music, crafts, and visual art, in celebration of Bangladesh’s month of independence. This event is part of Bengal Foundation’s continuous endeavour to make the practice and pursuit of Bangladesh’s art and culture more dynamic, accessible and multidimensional. Artist and Accompanists- Vocal: Susmita Debnath Suchi Tabla: Ifthekhar Alom Prodhan Dolar Esraj: Ashikul Abir Guitar: Nasir Uddin Mandira: Najmul Alom Keyboard: Rabins Chowdhury ------------------------------------------------- কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের (১৮৯৯-১৯৭৬) প্রেমের গান কাব্য গীতিধর্মী, প্রেমের সঙ্গে বিরহ এবং আনন্দ বেদনার সমন্বয়ে রচিত। ’সে চলে গেছে বলে’ গানটি ১৯৩২ সালে প্রকাশিত 'সুর-সাকী' গ্রন্থে অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গানটি প্রথম প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল। ঢাকা ব্যাংক ও বেঙ্গল ফাউন্ডেশনের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত চার দিনব্যাপী সাংস্কৃতিক উৎসব ’প্রাণে আনো গান’ -এ নজরুলসংগীত পরিবেশন করেন সুস্মিতা দেবনাথ শুচি। The love songs of Kazi Nazrul Islam (1899–1976) are poetic and lyrical, composed of a blend of love, the pangs of separation, and the synthesis of joy and sorrow. The song ‘Se Chole Gechhe Bole’ was first published in the journal ‘Sur-Saki’ in 1932. At the four-day cultural festival 'Prane Ano Gaan', organised by Dhaka Bank and Bengal Foundation, Sushmita Debnath Shuchi performed Nazrul Sangeet. ----------------------------------------------------------- Sushmita Debnath Suchi is a noteworthy classical vocalist specialising in Khayal and Nazrul Sangeet. Her musical foundation was built at Chhayanaut where she successfully completed an 8-year course. This was followed by rigorous training under Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar at Bengal Parampara Sangeetalay. Known for her technical precision and emotive depth, she has performed at prestigious venues such as the Chowdhury Performing Arts Festival at Kolkata, Bengal Classical Music Festival, among others. Suchi is a teacher at Chhayanaut as well as in the Music Department at the University of Dhaka. She has published several albums including ‘Noyoner shei shadh’ (in collaboration with Mohit Khan) under the Bengal Foundation banner. ...........................................................
